The popular Lowedges Festival returns to Greenhill Park, and it is big. Funfair, dog show, over 300 classic cars and bikes, free climbing wall, kids bungee jump, rides, mediaeval re-enactments, bar, or bring your own beer, food from around the world and loads of stalls, etc.

Sun 11 Aug 2019, 11am-5pm, Wortley Hall, Wortley, nr Sheffield, S35 7DB

The annual family and cultural festival and celebration of the left-wing and Labour Movement in South Yorkshire. Held in Wortley Hall, co-operatively owned and run, in the hands of the Trade Union and Labour movement for decades.

Fun for all ages, over 100 stalls, crafts, gifts, animals, pony rides, dancers, face painting, bouncy castles, rides and games, music and entertainers, bars, food and drink in the beautiful 27 acres of quiet woodland, formal and landscaped garden.

This year the guest speaker is Chris Peace from the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign. She will be speaking just after 11am.

Admission free, car park charges go to charity. Bus number 29 runs every hour or two from Sheffield Interchange, get off at Wortley, then go down the drive to the hall.

Greenpeace monthly meet up followed by a social for anyone who fancies it. Meetings are on the second Monday of every month if you would like to get involved with Greenpeace campaigns in Sheffield and the surrounding area, newcomers always welcome.
