"Rediscovering Robeson" Palestine fundraiser

Tayo Aluko is the writer, producer and performer of the multi-award winning "Call Mr. Robeson", a show chosen by the Guardian's Michael Billington to top his list of shows to see in London in January 2011. It celebrates Paul Robeson, famous singer and actor persecuted by the US government for his radical politics and civil rights campaigning against any form of oppression.Tayo has performed the play around the UK, USA, Canada, Jamaica and Nigeria. As a classical baritone, he has sung as soloist at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, and at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, accompanied by the Hallé Orchestra. Sheffield Palestinian Solidarity Campaign are really privileged to be able to have him in Sheffield, and donate all proceeds to the children's projects. Bar available. £7 (unwaged) £10 (waged).
